Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.Proverbs 27:17
Iron Forge takes men into the backcountry for three days. Weight on your back, cold nights, hard miles, and a devotional arc the whole way.
We guide young men into Christ-shaped endurance, and they need men around them who have already decided to suffer well. You don't have to be an expert. You have to be willing to show up, carry your share, and walk with the guys next to you.

The firesides are where we prepare. Vision, brotherhood, and what the guys are walking into. The trail is where it's forged.
The Arc
- The lead-up. A devotional that primes the heart, and three firesides that build toward the trail.
- The trail. Three days on the Art Loeb. The crucible the whole thing points at.
- Homecoming. The welcome home. Families see their guys return changed.
- The brotherhood. You don't walk it and disappear. You become forged, and you come back for the next group.
You Don't Buy Your Way On
Gear is never the barrier. For a first-timer, the big gear is handled out of the SBI locker: pack, bag, tent, stove, filter, the safety kit. What you bring from home is the personal stuff.
If you've got your own gear, bring it. If you don't, say the word and it's covered. We have men on standby who've asked for nothing more than the chance to put a young man on this mountain. That's not charity. That's the body of Christ doing what it was built to do.
Questions? Reach Out.
The lead-up runs through a few firesides in the months before the trail. That's where we gather, cast the vision, and answer the real questions. Come to one, or bring a man who should be here.
For parents and anyone weighing it: no man is kept off this trail for lack of gear or money, and you're welcome to ask us anything about how we run it, who leads it, and how we keep the guys safe.

Carry. Suffer. Together.
Romans 5:3–5
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
