The work

This page reflects the missions we are actively carrying, preparing, or discerning. Each one demands preparation, responsibility, and the willingness to enter formation under load.

What is listed here is work we are prepared to lead well—now or soon.

We do the work that makes the work possible.

IRON FORGE

Proverbs 27:17
Art Loeb Trail · Pisgah National Forest, NC

Three days on the Art Loeb for young men, carrying everything on their backs, with fathers and mentors walking it beside them.

Three kinds of men go. First-timers, who have never done anything like this. The mentors who walk with them. And the forged, who already did it once and came back to carry for somebody else.

March 4 to 6, 2027 · A second 2027 cohort under consideration

A young man sitting on the ground outdoors, smiling at the camera, wearing a blue T-shirt, a black baseball cap worn backwards, and holding a hiking stick. In the background, there are other people near a vehicle and trees.

“This hike mirrored life. God has been pressing on my heart to step fully into manhood—to suffer so I can be better for others, and to push past mediocrity.
Now I look at challenges the same way we climbed: no matter the pain, I take the next step.”
